Support for the arts & creation
LORD supports artistic creation in France through resources, networking and the guidance of cultural projects.
Culture as a common good
For centuries, France has maintained a strong relationship with its arts. From Michel de Montaigne to Annie Ernaux, from Berthe Morisot to Sophie Calle, from Maurice Ravel to Christine and the Queens, French cultural richness rests on the freedom to create and the support of successive generations of artists.
Yet creating today is no easier than yesterday. Emerging artists, particularly outside major cities, often lack resources: workspaces, administrative support, networking, visibility.
LORD's "Support for the arts" program aims to fill these gaps concretely, from La Rochelle and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region — without replacing public cultural institutions, but as a complement.
Four forms of support
📚 Resources
Articles, guides and fact sheets on artist-author status, URSSAF Limousin procedures, regional and national calls for projects.
🤝 Networking
Connections with other artists, production structures, exhibition venues and public or private funders.
🛠️ Workshops
Occasional thematic workshops (administrative management for artists, copyright, taxation, fundraising).
🎯 Project support
Personalized follow-up of cultural projects led by artists or collectives: structuring, partner search, communication, reporting.
Our vision of culture
LORD defends a living, accessible and independent culture. We support emerging artists, less visible disciplines, and projects rooted in their territory.
Freedom
We never substitute ourselves for the artistic choices of creators. Our role is to support, never to impose.
Accessibility
Our resources and workshops are free and open to everyone, regardless of degree or notoriety.
Diversity
All artistic disciplines are welcome: visual arts, writing, music, performance, cinema, design, art crafts.
